Jalingo –
The Jalingo Local Football Council (JLFC) in an Executive Committee meeting
held on Saturday 9th April, 2022 in Jalingo the state capital of
Taraba took a drastic decision upon call to review post-played matches during
the ‘CHAMPIONS LEAGUE (CL) AND SUPER CUP
FINAL (SC) 2022’.
In the quest for a
better, free and fair competition, the Executive Committee defines a better
punishment for breach of trust and violation of the rules governing the matches
since its inception.

FORWARDING OF L.M.C RESOLUTIONS
During the Executive committee meeting of Jalingo Local Football Council on Saturday 9th April, 2022, the reports of Matches were reviewed, leading to the identification of the following matches with major problems.
i. M/N 03 FC Rivers Vs. Barade Stars (Champions League)
ii. M/N 029 FC Galaxies Vs. FC Mayanzeng (Super Cup)
iii. M/N 036 FC Gada Vs. Super Stars (Super Cup)
After, very careful study of the individuals reports and extensive deliberation on same, the committee discovered that there were violations of the competition Rules and decided to adopt the following Resolutions:
i. The Barade Stars FC shall be held responsible for the improper behavior of their Coach, Asst. Coach and some players and fans during the Champions League Trophy Award Ceremony by preventing the association to conduct the event as planned by snatching the trophy and damaging it in the process as well as generally disrupting the entire process resulting to discontinuation of the programme.
ii. That the Coach (SIBA UMAR) shall proceed on 2 years ban with the payment of
N50,000.00 fine for leading the assault on the podium.iii. That the Asst. Coach (AMINU ABDULNASIR) shall proceed for 1-year ban with the payment of
N10,000.00 fine for fueling the crisis and pretending to be controlling it.iv. That the captain of the team (SAVIOR HEMAN) shall proceed on 2 years ban with the payment of
N60,000.00 for the damaged Trophy.v. That Ahmed Sale (Sako) Shall proceed on 2 years ban for his active involvement in the crisis.
vi. That the Team Barade Stars shall pay a fine of
N100,000.00 for the general misconduct of their fans by displaying violent attitude during the final ceremony which has caused the council huge financial losses as invited dignitaries who intended to support the council and participating teams flied away to protect their lives and ensure their safety.vii. That despite the improper conduct shown by some of the team members of Barade Stars, the personal award of
N10,000 for the team and individuals awards ofN5,000 each for two players of the team who emerged as Top Scorer and Best Player of the Tournment, Dauda Iliyasu and Ahmed Kabiru have been presented with their respective awards/prizes.viii. That Habu Daso of FC Mayanzeng shall proceed on 10 matches ban or an option of
N10,000 fine for physically attacking match official which resulted into lost of properties and causing serious injuries (Article 16/5).ix. That the prayer (Habu Daso) and the team shall be held responsible for settlement of the following damaged or lost properties belonging to the assaulted match official.

N5000x. That Sanda U. Taheer of FC Gada shall remain on an indefinite suspension pending when he appears before the EXCO. (Article 17/5)
xi. That Iliyasu Abubakar and Imrana Abdullahi both of FC Gada have been served with a last warning to desist from their confrontational attitude towards match officials in future.
